The work
What it is
256 generative compositions. Each piece is a distinct scene — geometry, light, atmosphere — resolved from a single seed the moment you look at it. It is meant to be sat with, not scrolled past.
How it works
The renderer, the metadata, and the artwork all live in the contract. Solidity assembles a GLSL raymarcher on the fly; the still image and the animation are both derived from the same seed at read time. No IPFS. No server. If the chain runs, the piece renders.
Rarity
Six tiers, allocated by the contract — not weighted odds, not a roll. 1 The Null, 3 Legendary, 12 Epic, 40 Rare, 80 Uncommon, 120 Common. Fixed at mint.
How the mint works
Blind mint
You mint a tokenId. Nothing else. Tier, palette, scene, all of it — undetermined until the artist calls reveal() after the sale closes. There's no way to grind for a grail during the mint.
Exact rarity, guaranteed
Rarity is not a dice roll. A Feistel permutation shuffles the 256 slots deterministically at reveal, and tier bands are fixed ranges over that shuffled order. The counts are locked by the math: 1 The Null · 3 Legendary · 12 Epic · 40 Rare · 80 Uncommon · 120 Common. If the sale doesn't clear, the artist mints the remainder via sweepUnsold() so the counts still hold.
Commit-reveal — the key is locked before mint opens
Before the first mint, the artist commits keccak256(reveal_key) on-chain. After mint closes, the key is published. Anyone can verify: keccak256(abi.encode(key)) == commitment. The commitment locks after the first mint, so the artist can't pick a key that assigns grails to their own tokenIds.
Fully on-chain rendering
Every image lives inside the contract — the shader source, the rarity math, the metadata, the HTML wrapper. When a marketplace or wallet calls tokenURI(id), the chain returns a self-contained data URI. Your browser compiles the shader and renders live. No IPFS, no server, no external dependency.
10 per wallet, 5 per transaction
A hard per-wallet cap is enforced by the contract so one collector can't take the whole drop. Sale is one shot — no reopens after reveal (the contract also refuses that; it would let snipers cherry-pick unminted grails).
Reserved slots
10 tokens are minted by the artist before the public sale opens — held for personal collection and giveaways on X. They count against total supply, not against the 246 public mintable.
